(RTTNews.com)-Pervasive Software Inc. (PVSW) Tuesday reported an increase in net income for second quarter of fiscal year 2012. Revenue increased to $ 0.5 million from $ 0.4 million years ago. Earnings per share remained flat at $ 0.03.

Adjusted earnings remained flat at $ 0.8 million, or $ 0.05 per share from last year. Adjusted earnings exclude amortization intangible purchased stock-based compensation costs and assumes the tax rate is adjusted at 34 percent.

Looking ahead, the company expects revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2012 to be in the range of $ 11.5 million to $ 12.5 million and expects earnings per share to be between $ 0.01 to $ 0.12. The company expects a cost of approximately $ 0.6 million in the third quarter, including the Earnings per share, adjusted will be in the range of $ 0.08 to $ 0.06.

March 2011 fiscal quarter, the company reported revenues of $ 12.1 million, income of $ 0.05 per share, and $ 0.06 adjusted earnings per share.
